Greased Lightning 3888
Greased Lightning, our varsity team, is the longest established team here at our Cypress Bay Robotics Club! Their team design is based off of the 50s movie, Grease!

The Gigawatts, our varsity team, is not the oldest but has been established for 10+ years here at our Robotics Club! They are designed based on Back to the Future!
Additional Teams
SECME consists of a variety of short challenges you can compete in. These include building model rocketry, a mouse trap car, or a bionic hand!
This is our NASA GLEE team. Our team will send 2 picosatellites (LunaSats) to the Moon by 2023 on the Artemis mission.
VEX provides competitors with a kit to build a basic robot and it is up to us to add to and improve them!
Our Mentors
Our journey’s success is thanks to the unwavering support of our mentors, volunteers, and our incredible teacher, Ms. Ashley. Coach Phyllis, President of Minions, enhanced our technical skills and teamwork. The Motorola mentors provided invaluable industry insights, while Barret, a former team member turned mentor, guided us through tough times. Mr. Pete’s organizational skills ensured our efforts ran smoothly. Together, Ms. Ashley, Coach Phyllis, the Motorola mentors, Barret, Mr. Pete, and others have driven our accomplishments and shaped us into a confident, capable team. We deeply appreciate their dedication and belief in our potential.
